Permanent Violet is a violet shade from the oil range by AK interactive. The name comes from classic painters' terminology, where a pigment so designated stands between the red and the blue part of the spectrum and holds a deep, clean tone with no gray cast.
Oil paints dry slowly, so they can still be blended, softly merged and taken off again on the surface for a long time. The technique of a few drops blended into an area, from which a subtle color transition arises, makes use of that. The surface underneath should be sealed and fully cured beforehand, so that the finish under the oil is not attacked. Work in thin layers and give the paint time; a further layer applied in haste mixes with the one below and the result loses depth.
It will be reached for by modelers who build both equipment and figures and want the color tone fully under control. Within the range it complements the group of pure primary and derived shades, from which practically any tone can be mixed to your own idea. Violet, meanwhile, tends to be scarce in the modeling palette, because it is hard to mix from the usual primary tones.
Store the paint out of the reach of children, ventilate while working and avoid prolonged contact with the skin.
