Pigment Ochre from AMMO of Mig Jimenez is a loose modeling pigment in an ocher shade for dust, dry earth and sandy effects on models.
Responsibility details are not available.
Pigment Ochre is a finely ground powder for surface effects on models, vehicles and dioramas. Ocher is one of the most universal weathering shades of all: it lies exactly between yellow and brown, so it stands in faithfully for dry earth, the dust of a country road and light sand alike. The shade carries the manufacturer's original designation, so the product can be traced and reordered in the same tone.
A pigment is a powder, not a liquid product. It is applied dry with a soft brush, it can be rubbed into the texture of a surface and the amount of it grows gradually, layer by layer. Thanks to that, ocher builds smooth transitions well, from dusty lower sections to cleaner areas higher up, which is one of the most striking marks of well executed weathering on a model.
It suits beginning modelers who are only putting together a basic set of weathering shades as well as advanced ones who use ocher as the linking tone between dark and light effects. It comes into its own best on a darker base, where the dusting shows at once. Work in small portions and concentrate on places where dust would settle in reality too.
Safety: this is a very fine powder. Do not inhale it, work in a well-ventilated room and keep the product out of the reach of children.
