A hollow styrene tube with an outer diameter of 11.1 mm and a length of 35 cm. The largest caliber in the line, suited to chimneys, silos, tanks and masts.
Responsibility details are not available.
Eleven millimeters is the upper limit of the tube range, and it opens up tasks that smaller calibers cannot handle. The hollow bore also changes how you work: an end can be capped with a glued-in disc cut from sheet, a guide pin or a cable can be hidden inside, and when building a longer body, a narrower profile can be slid into the tube to reinforce the joint from the inside while staying invisible from outside.
On models, it becomes factory chimneys, storage silos, chassis-mounted fuel tanks, sewer pipes left by an excavation, light poles, masts, larger-caliber gun barrels, or hydraulic cylinders on heavy equipment. At 1:35, this diameter represents a cylinder almost forty centimeters across; at 1:72, as much as eighty, so even one short offcut carries a lot of visual mass in a diorama.
A square cut matters more on a large diameter than on thin profiles, since any deviation shows immediately on the circle. The most reliable method is a saw guided in a miter block, or rotating the tube under a fixed blade until the scored line meets itself all the way around. A tapered reamer, or a few turns of a larger drill bit by hand, will clean up the inner burr.
A large diameter has one more advantage. The surface offers enough room to suggest welds, hoops, riveted bands or flange joints, and it is exactly details like these that turn a bare cylinder into a believable piece of equipment. One piece is 35 centimeters long and is sold on its own.
