An acrylic, that is water-thinnable, paint from the 3rd Generation range, placed in the sub-range for ground combat equipment. The designation in the name refers to the standard code of the shade, by which a modeler can easily match it with documentation or with the paints of other manufacturers. It is neither an enamel nor a lacquer, and it does not get on with solvent thinners. Check the volume of the bottle on the label of the package.
A standard shade is defined for the surface of a real vehicle, not for a model a few centimeters across. On a small area and under indoor light every color looks darker and deeper than it really is, which is why the so-called scale effect is normally taken into account: the base tone is lightened slightly for a model, for example by adding a drop of white or light ocher from the same acrylic range. Always mix enough paint at once for the whole model, because a batch mixed later almost never matches the shade. Anyone who wants to keep the pure standard tone leaves the paint unaltered and handles lightness through modulation and filters instead.
Suitable for modelers who work to standard shades and want a whole palette in one range. Thanks to its acrylic binder it is trouble-free for work in an apartment as well.
