Ral 7030 Stone Grey (Steingrau) 17ML

RAL 7030 Stone Grey (Steingrau), 17 ml, AK interactive

An acrylic modeling paint from the Air series in a bottle of 17 ml. The number 7030 in the German RAL standard designates stone gray (Steingrau), that is a neutral gray shade with a slightly warm cast, used in modeling on German aircraft. The paint is water-based, without aggressive solvents and a strong smell, and once dry it is satin.

Use

• Airbrush: the paint is mixed for spraying practically without thinning. You get a finer atomization by thinning it with the acrylic thinner of the same manufacturer or with a small amount of water.
• Brush: gray shades show every brush mark especially clearly, so work in two or three thin coats.
• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles to the bottom.
• The paint holds best over a primer coat, and the shade looks truer there than straight on plastic. Full curing takes about 24 hours.
• Gray is a rewarding base for modulation: by darkening and lightening the same shade you create transitions without the color tone changing.

Who the paint is for

For modelers of German aircraft and for anyone who needs an exactly defined neutral gray in a water-thinnable acrylic. It is usable outside the original subject too, for example as a base for concrete surfaces, equipment or diorama accessories.

Store well closed, out of the reach of children and at a temperature above freezing. When spraying with an airbrush, ventilate and use respiratory protection.
