Rolling Pin Display 5x5

Rolling Pin Display 5x5 (Green Stuff World)

A stand for Green Stuff World texture rollers. Rollers are an aid that stores badly: they are long and round, they roll away by themselves, and in a drawer they turn into a heap in which the pattern cannot be told apart except by pulling each piece out and turning it. This stand solves exactly that. The 5x5 designation in the name distinguishes the format from the larger version the manufacturer makes alongside it.

What you gain on the bench

• The patterns are visible from above, so choosing takes seconds instead of minutes of rummaging.
• The rollers do not roll across the bench top and fall off behind it.
• The set stays together, so it does not happen that one piece disappears into another box.
• The work surface stays free for the work in progress, not for tools between individual steps.

Usage tips

It helps to line the rollers up by motif rather than by the order in which you bought them: paving, bricks, sheet metal and organic textures, each group on its own. If you add your own small markings to the stand, you will also find similar patterns that differ little at first glance. Place the stand so that side light falls on it. The relief of the pattern then stands out and you will recognize it without pulling anything out.

Who it is for

For modelers and diorama builders who own not one or two texture rollers but a whole set, and want it arranged within reach. It also suits places where several people take turns at the bench and tools do not normally go back where they belong.
