A dark red-brown from the German RAL standard, listed under the number 8017 and under the period German name Rotbraun. The tone is close to a chocolate brown and is therefore markedly darker than the sandy and yellow-brown shades of the same line. On models of German ground vehicles of the later part of the Second World War it appears as the brown component of camouflage applied over a lighter base.
The shade belongs to the Real Colors line of the AK Interactive brand, that is to a palette derived from period color standards. It is an acrylic paint intended for modeling work. The bottle holds 17 ml.
It is aimed at builders of ground vehicles who need a dark brown for camouflage, and at modelers of accessories and figures, where it suits leather and wooden details. It also works as the dark component when mixing your own brown tones.
The paint is supplied in the shade and volume stated. The thinner, a primer, clear coats, brushes and an airbrush are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Store the bottle carefully closed and out of the reach of children, and work in a well-ventilated room when spraying.
