Ruby Red Flowers 6mm is scenic material from the low vegetation branch for a diorama. It is not a kit and not a standalone object in a scene but flowering tufts that are applied to finished terrain. The name gives the rich ruby red shade of the flowers and carries the designation 6 mm, by which the height of the growth is usually stated with vegetation.

How to work with the material

Vegetation is seated as the last step, after painting and dusting the terrain. With a rich shade it holds doubly true that less is more — a few tufts by the main motif do better service than a continuous strip. Spread the tufts out irregularly, or divide them with scissors into smaller clumps. If they do not hold by themselves, stick them down with a drop of PVA or cyanoacrylate glue under the base in such a way that the glue does not wick into the fibers. Dust the bottom of a tuft lightly with a pigment in the color of the terrain, and the harsh transition between the vegetation and the surface disappears.

For modelers of dioramas, vignettes and detailed bases for military hardware, figures and fantasy models alike. The material is not tied to one scale, as the size and density of the scene is what decides.
