Sky is a British aircraft shade from the Second World War, a light greenish gray with a hint of pale green. From 1940 it was used on the undersurfaces of British fighters and on the broad identification band around the rear fuselage, by which the machines were recognized in the air. That is exactly why Sky is one of the shades that no collection of British aircraft of the period can do without.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use so that the settled pigment mixes evenly; in light opaque shades it settles markedly. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the instructions given by the manufacturer on the packaging, that is, the thinner intended for this range. Spray several thin coats and let the surface dry between them; a single heavy coat swallows the detail and dries more slowly. For an even shade it pays to lay down a light base first.
The paint suits modelers who build British aircraft of the Second World War and need the shade of the undersurfaces or of the fuselage identification band. It works in every scale, because it is a single paint and not a set tied to one particular model.
The paint is supplied on its own. Thinner, brushes and kits are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
