Eight shades for Soviet and Russian fighter aircraft with a variable-geometry wing from the 1970s to the 1990s. The palette takes in a gray-blue underside, ocher, sand tones and the dark green of the upper surfaces.
Responsibility details are not available.
The machine the choice is aimed at was among the most widespread combat aircraft of the Eastern bloc. It entered line service at the beginning of the 1970s, its wing changed the angle of sweep according to the regime of flight, and over the following two decades more than twenty users from Central Europe to the Middle East and North Africa took it on.
Inside you will find a pale blue-gray, engine gray, ocher, sandy beige, yellow-brown, light blue and a pair of tones according to Soviet aviation standards, namely gray number 3 and dark green. The combination covers both the all-gray guise of the later series and the more varied three-color patterns of older examples.
The light blue belongs on the lower surfaces and makes up the basis with practically every user. Ocher with yellow-brown and green gives the camouflage of machines deployed in a desert environment, while gray number 3 with green matches training and home units. Engine gray suits the outlet section of the power unit and places scorched by heat.
The contents are intended mainly for an airbrush, but they also suit touching up with a brush. The transitions between the fields of camouflage on these aircraft used to be soft, so it pays to spray from a greater distance or to mask with a cord of putty raised above the surface. Let the surface dry between layers, otherwise the ocher and the green will run together. The cockpit, landing gear bays and armament have to be supplemented from another source; this choice does not deal with them.
