Green Stuff World static grass 2 to 3 mm, 200 ml

A material for building dioramas from Green Stuff World. The 200 milliliter package contains fibers two to three millimeters long in a dry weed shade. It is applied onto glue, ideally with a device that stands the fibers up electrostatically, so that they do not form a flattened layer but stand upright like real grass. Without that the fibers lie down and the area looks more like carpet than like a growth of grass.

What it is suited to

Short fibers suit a low, trodden-down cover: paths, the edges of fields, the areas around buildings and the bases of figures in smaller scales. The dry shade looks convincing in summer and autumn scenes and in places where the soil is parched. Combining several lengths and shades over one area gives the surface the natural irregularity that cannot be achieved with a single kind of grass.

How to apply the grass

• coat the area with static grass glue or with diluted PVA glue
• apply the fibers with a static grass applicator so that they stand upright
• once it is dry, vacuum or tap off the surplus and use it again
• the finished cover can be completed with bushes, pigment and fine gravel
• store the fibers dry; damp worsens their behavior in an electric field
• for a natural look, combine two or three lengths and shades

The material is intended for modeling, not for children. Store it out of the reach of the youngest and ventilate when working with glues.
