The bag holds 350 g of modeling ballast from the manufacturer Polak. The material is crushed spilite, a natural volcanic rock, which gives the scatter a realistic color and texture. The grain size 1 suits trackbeds and terrain surfaces.
The ballast is scattered onto a surface coated beforehand with PVA glue, or it is fixed with thinned glue with a drop of detergent dripped on through a sprayer. It is used for the trackbeds of a model railroad, for gravel tracks, embankments, road shoulders and the open terrain surfaces of dioramas.
This is a loose scenic material, not a kit. Glue is not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
