A varnish ready to spray straight from the bottle

The Slovak brand built its whole range on a single idea: paints and varnishes leave the works already in a consistency suitable for the airbrush. That removes the most common source of failure, a badly judged thinner ratio. A bottle with a dropper lets the contents be dosed drop by drop and the cup of the airbrush stays clean.

The clear gloss variant is used where a surface has to take on a mirror appearance or where a smooth bed for the decals has to be prepared. The layer is very thin, so it does not flood engraved detail or fine riveting, and yet it forms a continuous film. That property in particular is valued on aircraft models in the small scales.

The sibling variants cover semi-gloss, semi-flat and flat, so a whole model can be finished in a single system and differ only in the degree of sheen from area to area. They can also be mixed with one another to tune the level of reflection exactly to the real subject.

It is sprayed at lower pressure in several light passes. The material is a lacquer, so fresh water-thinnable paint underneath it can swell, although on a cured base no problem arises. The airbrush is cleaned with the thinner of the same brand.

What is left in the cup of the airbrush can be returned to the bottle, because it has not been thinned or mixed with any foreign substance. It is a good idea to wipe the dropper cap, as dried residue on the neck prevents it from closing and the contents then thicken faster. The material takes a longer break in work without trouble; it is only necessary to turn the bottle over several times before the next use so that the consistency evens out throughout. The thinner of the same brand serves for cleaning the airbrush.
