Mr.Paint Super Clear Semimatt (30 ml)

A clear semi-gloss (semi-matte) varnish from the Mr.Paint (MRP) modeling range that serves as a final protective and covering layer on a finished model. It is an acrylic varnish on a solvent base that comes pre-thinned from the factory and ready to be sprayed straight from the bottle. It unifies the surface into a uniform semi-gloss look, protects the paint and the decals and suits an intermediate stage between a gloss and a fully matte varnish. Intended exclusively for the airbrush, it is not suitable for application with a brush.

Use

• Spray with an airbrush in thin even coats; the varnish is pre-thinned and ready for immediate use (a nozzle of about 0.3 mm)
• It is applied as the final covering layer on a painted model, usually after the decals and the weathering
• It unifies the sheen of the surface into a semi-gloss (satin) look and protects the decals
• For fine techniques it can be thinned further with the matching lacquer thinner of the same range
• Clean the airbrush and tools with a lacquer cleaner or thinner

Who it is for

For modelers working with an airbrush who want to protect and unify the surface of a finished model into a semi-gloss look. Given the character of a lacquer varnish it is rather for more experienced users.

It is a lacquer product on a solvent base — it is flammable and has a pronounced smell. Use only in a well ventilated space, ideally with extraction and a respirator, away from open flame. Intended exclusively for the airbrush. Keep out of reach of children.
