Tamiya Diorama Texture Paint - Soil Effect "Dark Earth"

Tamiya Diorama Texture Paint - Soil Effect Dark Earth

Tamiya Diorama Texture Paint - Soil Effect Dark Earth is a water-thinnable acrylic texture paste from Tamiya in a dark earthy shade. It contains fine resin particles that create a texture resembling dark soil once dry. The 100 ml package covers roughly a 25x35 cm area in one layer.

Use

• Apply it with a spatula or an old brush - a new brush would be damaged by the coarse particles
• A thicker layer can be shaped and modeled like a putty before it dries
• If the paste is too thick, thin it with water
• It dries in roughly 4 to 5 hours; it can be mixed with Tamiya acrylic paints for a different shade
• Once dry, the surface can be toned with washes and drybrushing, enamel paints included
• Do not use it in an airbrush - the coarse particles would damage it

Who it is for

For diorama builders and military or railroad modelers who need a dark earthy surface for bases and groundwork. The Dark Earth shade imitates darker damp soil; distinguish it from the lighter Brown and the sandy Light Sand.

Water-thinnable, with no strong smell; it can be washed off with water before it dries. Store out of the reach of children.
