Paint Mixing Jar Mini from Tamiya is an empty mixing jar of square shape with a volume of 10 ml. It serves for mixing your own shades and for thinning paint for the airbrush, and the mixture can also be kept in it straight away. It is a modeling aid: it is NOT a paint and it is not a kit. The jar is supplied EMPTY; paint is not included in the package.

The square jar versus the round spare bottle

Tamiya offers 10 ml mini containers in two shapes. The square one, this one, serves as a mixing jar: the square walls are easy to wipe out with a stirrer and the container stands on the bench better. The round version serves as a spare bottle for storing paint that has already been mixed. The volume is the same for both, 10 ml; what differs is the shape and the typical use. Both are supplied empty.

Who it is for

For modelers who mix their own shades, thin paints for the airbrush or prepare washes and tinting coats. The small volume is ideal for one-off batches, where paint would needlessly spoil in a large container.
