Tamiya Weathering Master H

Tamiya Weathering Master H is a set of weathering powders from Tamiya in a compact like a powder case, aimed at painting figures (the Figures II range). It contains three light flesh shades, light orange, ivory and light peach, and an enclosed applicator with a sponge and a small brush. The powdery waxy material makes it easy to create smooth transitions on skin, that is, highlights as well as shading.

Use

• Pick up a little of the powder with the applicator and rub it gently onto the skin of the figure
• Bring out the raised areas with the lighter shade and the recesses and shadows with the darker one
• Layering achieves soft transitions and a three-dimensional look to the face and the hands
• The excess can be wiped away, and the depth is built up gradually
• The finished effect can be sealed with a matte varnish

Who it is for

For figure modelers who want to shade lighter skin types quickly and naturally. Set H (Figures II) follows on from set G and extends the range of flesh tones; it differs from set E for equipment in being aimed at skin.
