Template line 5mm is a universal SX-Art masking stencil for spraying straight lines 5 mm wide. It is not tied to a particular model or scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The stencil defines a straight line 5 mm wide while you spray, that is, a stripe one millimeter wider than the narrower version of the same range. It is not bound to a single kit or to a single scale. It will find a use anywhere you need a sharp stripe of constant width or a precise border between two shades.
The wider 5 mm stripe suits above all larger models and big uninterrupted areas: stripes on fuselages and wings in large scales, dividing lines between the upper and lower color, decorative bands on hoods and along the sides of bodywork, framing of panels, or preparing the base for decals. On small models, by contrast, a wider line looks coarse — reach for the narrower version there. The difference between the versions is precisely the width of the line they define, and nothing else.
The paint under the masking has to be completely dry, otherwise it will peel off as the masking comes away. Degrease the surface, press the stencil down along the whole length of the edge and cover the surroundings with tape and paper — overspray from an airbrush travels further than it seems. Spray at a right angle to the surface and in thin coats; a single heavy coat is drawn under the edge practically every time. Take the masking off slowly, at an angle away from the edge, and preferably before the paint has cured perfectly. If you need the stripe centered precisely, mark the center line in advance with a fine pencil or a guide strip of tape.
Paints, masking tape and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
