The second shade of the rust-colored pair in the Tensocrom range, Rust 2 Filter Tensocrom from Lifecolor, serves to vary corrosion, so that a rusted area does not look like one color across the surface.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Tensocrom toning range offers rust in two shades, and this is the second of them. It is laid on in a thin translucent layer and changes the color tone of an area; it works on its own, but you get the greatest use from it paired with the first rust shade.
Why rust needs two shades
Corrosion on real vehicles never has one color. Fresh centers are elsewhere than settled ones, and places washed by rain have a different tone from sheltered corners. When a whole area is treated with a single rust shade, the result is brown, certainly, but dead. Two shades laid on different places and at different strengths give the surface the unevenness that the eye reads as real age.
Where the filter ends and the paneliner begins
A filter works with a whole area. The moment it comes to a rust-colored line in a seam or a trace along a rivet, that is no longer a task for a filter but for a thinner product meant for engraved lines. The two techniques complement each other and are also laid on in that order.
Stir the contents before application and work in weak layers. Work in a ventilated space and keep out of the reach of children.
