The three-ton Opel Blitz carried supplies, fuel, ammunition and troops and was one of the most widespread means of transport of the German army. It appeared in dozens of bodies, from a flatbed to a workshop and a radio station, so you will meet it practically everywhere in period shots. That is exactly why it pays to pay attention even to such a small thing as the shape of a wheel.
It suits builders of supply equipment, makers of columns and anyone who wants to put a vehicle with a breakdown into a scene. On a truck the front axle is clearly visible, so the difference tells.
On a truck the front axle carries substantially less load than the rear, so the tire deflects less. When equally deformed wheels appear at the front and the rear of a model, an experienced eye notices it and the impression of otherwise careful work is spoiled.
