AMMO Airplanes Engines and Exhausts — a set for aircraft engines and exhausts

This is a set of weathering products aimed at the engines, the exhausts and their surroundings on aircraft models, not a paint for a base coat. The set holds three products — one liquid oil and effect product for the impression of spilled fuel and oil, and two loose pigments for rust and for blackening from exhaust gases. With this trio you can easily liven an aircraft engine and exhaust up with traces of service, light rust and a grimy surface.

Use

• Apply the liquid effect with a brush into the places of spilled fuel, oil and service stains around the engine.
• Blend the transitions out with enamel thinner (mineral spirits) while the effect is still fresh.
• Pick the pigments up on a dry brush and stipple them onto the exhausts and their surroundings — rust and black soot from exhaust gases.
• Fix the pigment with a pigment fixer or apply it into an effect that is still wet, so that it holds.
• Build the effects up in layers and tune the intensity gradually.
