Dunkelgelb Matt RAL 7028 is a Lifecolor acrylic modeling paint with a matte surface. A dark yellow earthy shade that holds the color of the ground and of the objects in a diorama together.
Responsibility details are not available.
The ground and the objects on it tend to be two different scenes in color on a diorama. The terrain is done separately, the vehicles and buildings separately, and the result then reads as a model built on a board rather than as a view of one place. The simplest way out leads through a shared warm undertone. Dunkelgelb Matt RAL 7028 from the Italian maker Lifecolor is a dark yellow earthy shade that fits this role, because it lies midway between sand and ocher. The manufacturer gives both the RAL designation and the matte gloss level in the name.
On textured terrain a dark yellow works well as the starting surface of parched soil, on rammed earth, on a sandy slope, on steppe growth that has lost its green over the summer. Use the same shade sparingly on the objects in the scene as well, on the edges of wooden crates or on the bottom of walls, and the whole pulls together in color and the eye begins to read it as one setting.
For modelers who build dioramas from dry and summer settings, and for everyone whose finished scene does not hold together in color and who are looking for a common denominator.
Keep out of the reach of children and work in a well-ventilated room.
