A modeling paint in a dark brown shade listed under the designation RAL 7017, in a matte finish. The designation is UA210.
Responsibility details are not available.
The paint listed under the manufacturer's part number UA210 carries a dark brown tone, which the name specifies by the German name Dunkelbraun and by the code RAL 7017. RAL is the European standard of color shades, so you can compare the tone with an ordinary RAL color chart and judge in advance how it will look on a model. The finish is matte, that is without gloss, which is what you want on a model: a glossy surface breaks the scale and announces itself as plastic, whereas a matte surface lets the shape come through.
A subdued dark brown is one of the most universal shades in the box. It serves on soil and deposits of mud, on wooden parts, on the leather and canvas equipment of figures and as an element for darkening other tones. It also works well as a base under weathering, because in corners and joints it reads more convincingly than black, which looks like a hole from close up.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before work, as the pigment settles at the bottom. For thinning use the product intended for this line in the ratio the manufacturer states on the packaging. Apply in thin coats and let them dry; a heavy coat floods the engraved detail and the surface then looks soaked. Wash and degrease the surface beforehand. When mixing with other shades, note the ratio down, as a matte dark tone is hard to find again.
The package contains one bottle of paint in the shade named. Thinner, brushes and varnishes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
