The pattern of transitional production is captured by the shade M35-41 Tunic from Lifecolor. It is the tone of the field tunic from the time when the older cut was being simplified and the fabric was changing too.

The span M35 to M41 in the name refers to the field tunic of the transitional period, when the original pattern of the mid-1930s was gradually simplified. The M35-41 Tunic shade is mixed for this middle phase and in the uniform line of the Lifecolor brand it stands between the tone of the oldest pattern and the tone of later wartime production. It is a water-based acrylic paint intended for painting the uniforms and personal kit of figures.
A uniform on a figure carries information about time just as the armament does. The transitional pattern belongs to the middle of the war and on a diorama it suits where the troops are meant to be already worn in their kit but not yet in emergency production. It is useful not to mix all the figures into one tone: two close but distinguishable tunic colors in one scene look more natural, because a real unit did not walk about in fabric from a single production run either.
It suits modelers who build multi-figure scenes and want to work with uniform shades as a way of anchoring a scene in time. It follows on from the shade of trousers of the same pattern and from the leather and equipment tones of the same line.
Keep out of the reach of children. Open the container carefully and always close it carefully after taking paint out.
