The Lifecolor UA537 modeling paint in the Dark Earth shade, the brown earthy color of British aircraft camouflage of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
A paint from the Lifecolor range listed under the designation UA537. Dark Earth is the brown earthy color of British aircraft camouflage of the Second World War period. On the upper surfaces of aircraft it appeared in a two-color scheme together with a dark green; on fighters gray tones later replaced it, while on other categories it held on longer.
Most often on the upper surfaces of British aircraft, but it serves outside aircraft too: as the base of dry earth, on the dusty mudguards of vehicles, on the deposits of soil around a chassis and as a ground under darker brown glazes. The shade has no pronounced red or yellow undertone, so it goes well with green and gray camouflage colors and with pigments.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before work, as the pigment settles at the bottom. Apply in thin coats and add the next one only once the previous has dried; one heavy coat clogs the engraved panel lines. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio as instructed by the manufacturer on the packaging; for the airbrush the paint has to be thinned more than for the brush. Rinse the tools immediately after work, as a dried film is considerably harder to remove. Try the shade on a test surface beforehand, as it reads differently on a model than in the bottle, and reckon with a large area always looking lighter than a small sample.
The delivery contains the shade named. The model, thinner, brushes and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
