A light flesh shade from the Italian Lifecolor range in a bottle with a volume of twenty-two milliliters. The number in the name does not mark a separate color but a place in a graded range of flesh tones: the lighter members are used on the raised places of the face and for brightening, the darker ones in the shadows. The paint is acrylic, thinned with water or with the brand's own thinner, and applied with a brush as well as an airbrush.
Shake the bottle thoroughly, as the pigment settles to the bottom. Flesh is painted in thin coats, because one thick application floods the features and the face loses its expression. On figures the procedure from the middle tone to the light one has proved itself, with the light shade applied only to the raised places and blended into the surroundings. Take only a small amount onto the palette, as acrylic thickens quickly in the air, and when mixing shades make samples, because flesh tones look different wet than after drying.
For painters of figures and busts, for modelers who color in their crews, and for anyone who builds a flesh tone palette out of shades instead of mixing from white and brown.
