The washed-out black of textile pulled out by the sun is the subject of the acrylic paint Lifecolor Worn Black, intended for uniforms, leather and equipment with years of service behind it.

Black cloth does not stay black for long. Washing, sweat, sun and rubbing on the edges gradually pull it out into a gray-blue to gray-brown position that has only the impression in common with the original shade. The acrylic paint Lifecolor Worn Black captures this state directly, so it does not have to be mixed from black and gray every time.
The key is that wear is not even. On a model it pays to lay the worn tone over the whole part and then to return a richer black into the folds and shadows: the cloth gains by that the impression of having faded only where light fell on it. In the opposite direction you can work with a dry brush along the highest edges of the folds, where the material rubs most. A combination of both procedures will give a figure depth even without further effects.
The paint is at home with figures and busts, where the material of clothing is dealt with, and just as well with dioramas with tarpaulins, packs and stowed equipment. It will also be appreciated by modelers who build civilian scenes, because a worn black is common outside military subjects too and on a figure it can suggest by itself how long a person has been wearing their clothes.
Store out of the reach of children, ventilate while working and close the bottle carefully after use.
