A plastic kit of the figure Nika Nanaura from the Figure-rise Standard range of the Japanese manufacturer Bandai. It is neither a finished figure nor a model of a vehicle: it is supplied as parts on sprues, which are injection-molded in plastic of separate colors and join by snapping together. For this range the manufacturer does not give a scale.
Nika Nanaura is a character from the animated series Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. The real subject is therefore not a machine but a person, and the contents of the package follow from that: the uniform is made up of parts in several colors of plastic, the inner blue layer of the hair and the inside of the mouth with the teeth have parts of their own, and the open mouth can be built with the teeth or without them. The expression of the face is chosen from three options — one face is printed, two are finished with waterslide decals. According to the manufacturer the package holds ten interchangeable parts for left and right hands, a tablet as a prop and soft plastic parts for the sleeves, thanks to which the figure can hold the tablet in both hands. Interchangeable body parts also allow a natural seated pose.
Level the remains of the sprue gates carefully — on colored plastic a white scratch shows at once, especially on the face. Apply the expression decals to a clean, degreased part and press them down with a cotton swab, not with a fingernail. The skin and the fabric can be evened out with a flat varnish, leaving the sheen only on the eyes. Painting is optional with this range; anyone who does paint has to begin with a primer.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and a figure base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
