URBAN SET – ENAMEL LIQUID PIGMENT

Urban Set, a set of enamel liquid pigments from AK interactive

Urban Set is a package of liquid pigments on an enamel binder from AK interactive, put together around the urban environment. The pigments are stirred into a solvent-based carrier, they are applied with a brush and once the solvent has flashed off they leave flat deposits that look like real sediments. The particular make-up of the set is given on the packaging.

Why a set and not individual bottles

An urban scene has one property that shades bought one by one can hardly satisfy: it has to hold together. Render, concrete, paving, metal railings and a vehicle standing in the street are all to share the same grime from one environment, otherwise the scene looks assembled from different places. A set tuned to one theme makes that unity easier and brings several matching shades in one package.

How to use the pigments on an urban scene

• Watch where water runs down a facade and lead the deposits in the same direction.
• Concentrate the grime under sills, into joints, at the foot of a wall and in the corners, where dirt stays.
• Apply it in small amounts and spread the edges out, so that sharp borders do not form.
• Shake the bottles before each use, as the pigment settles.
• This is solvent-based chemistry, corrected with enamel thinner, not with water.

Who it is for

For diorama builders with urban and industrial themes, for railway modelers dealing with station buildings and platforms, and for wargamers working on terrain elements and ruins.

The product contains an organic solvent. Work in a well ventilated space, protect your eyes and skin and keep out of the reach of children.
