A plastic kit of the American M26 Pershing tank conceived as an endearing caricature. The Cute Series line builds on foreshortened proportions and exaggerated shapes, so the model does not arise from reducing the subject in a fixed ratio: no scale is given for it and the name does not carry one either. The result is a kit that can be finished quickly and that still shows at first glance which machine it is.
The M26 Pershing was an American heavy tank with a 90 mm gun. It entered the fighting in Europe only in the first months of 1945, when it was to close the gap against the most heavily armored German types, and in derived versions it served on in Korea. The angular turret, the long barrel and the torsion bar suspension stay recognizable even after the shapes have been simplified heavily.
A caricature model is an ideal practice ground for techniques you do not want to attempt on a large build. Try color modulation, edge highlighting with a dry brush or pigments on the running gear: the surfaces are large and a mistake matters less. Fill and sand the seams just as you would on an ordinary model; on markedly rounded shapes it helps to apply the filler in thin layers. A filler primer suits a single-color finish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
