About product

US Navy Grey Jets - a set of panel washes from AMMO

This set from AMMO (Mig Jimenez) holds three enamel Panel Line Wash products in gray shades for bringing out the engraved panel lines and the detail of modern jets in gray camouflage, typically the carrier-based machines of the US Navy. These are liquid enamel (solvent-based) products that flow into the engraved lines by capillary action - they are not opaque paints but washes for bringing out detail.

Use

  • Bringing out panel lines and rivets by capillary flow into the engraved grooves
  • Three shades of gray for the light, medium and dark areas of a camouflage
  • Applied over a smooth gloss clear coat; the excess is wiped off with thinner
  • Suitable for jets in gray camouflage schemes

Who the set is for

For modelers of aircraft who want to bring out the panel lines of gray jets cleanly and naturally without mixing their own washes.

Enamel washes are flammable and are thinned with thinner, not with water. Work in a well-ventilated space and protect your airways.

FAQ

No, these are liquid enamel washes that flow into the engraved panel lines by capillary action and bring out the detail. They do not cover the surface the way a paint does.

Best over a smooth gloss clear coat, so that the wash flows into the grooves and the excess is easy to wipe off with thinner.

Modern jets in gray camouflage, typically the carrier-based machines of the US Navy.
