Water Gel Transparent is a thick clear gel for creating water surfaces on a diorama. It is not a paint or a kit, but a diorama material. Unlike the tinted variants of the same range it has no shade of its own, so the final color of the surface comes from what lies beneath it — the painted bed, gravel or mud. The package holds 250 ml.

Use

• It is applied with a spatula or a brush straight onto the base that forms the bed of the future water surface.
• Work in several thinner layers rather than one and let each dry; a single thick layer takes disproportionately longer.
• With the tip of a spatula or a toothpick the gel can be drawn into waves, wakes and splashing water at the bank before it dries.
• Set the shade of the water by painting the bed, not by coloring the gel; always try any tinting on a sample first.
• Besides ponds and streams it also suits puddles on a road, wet ruts in tracks and glossy traces of rain on terrain.
