About product

Weathering Plaster Base (AK Interactive)

Weathering Plaster Base from AK Interactive is a diorama plaster base compound in a 100 ml package. It is neither a paint nor a model but a supporting material that gives body to mixtures of mud, earth and dust. It is mixed with the liquid effects and products of the Nature Effects range and turns them into a thicker, plastic compound for terrain and for weathering vehicles.

Use

  • Mix the compound into liquid mud and earth effects to gain body and texture
  • Thin a mixture that is too thick with mineral spirits, and thicken one that is too runny by adding more compound
  • Apply it with a brush onto a diorama base, or onto the running gear and lower parts of vehicles
  • You can create a splatter effect by blowing air from an airbrush onto a brush dipped in the mixture

Who it is for

It suits diorama builders and modelers of military vehicles who want convincing mud and dust effects with body. It is combined with other weathering products; on its own it serves as the binding base of a mixture.

Keep out of the reach of children. When thinning with mineral spirits, work in a well-ventilated space and avoid inhaling the fumes.
