Tamiya Weathering Stick (Mud)

A weathering stick in the style of a lipstick, holding a thick paste in the color of mud. Winding the tip out doses a little of the pigment paste, which is applied straight onto the model and can build up even a slightly raised, three-dimensional deposit of mud. The paste stays pliable for several minutes, so it can be blended out with a brush or a cotton swab or wiped off with a damp cloth; in the air it then dries to a durable matte surface.

Use

• Wind out a small amount of paste and apply it where the mud should be (tracks, chassis, the underside of the cargo bed).
• While it is still pliable, blend it out with a brush or a cotton swab to the look you want.
• Any excess can be wiped off with a damp cloth as long as the paste has not dried.
• Close it carefully after use so that the stick does not dry out.

For modelers of military vehicles, dioramas and rally cars who want quick, faithful muddying without mixing pigments.

Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Avoid contact with the eyes.
