The marker combines a paint reservoir with a writing tip: the paint is released through the tip, which spreads it directly over the surface. That removes the need to pour paint into a palette and to clean a brush, which pays off with small jobs and in places where a brush would be awkward. The shade is white and carries the designation X-02.
White is useful on a model for small markings, numbers and stripes along edges, for lettering on crates and boxes, for lights and reflectors and for repairing places where the paint has been rubbed off by sanding or by careless handling. The tip lets you run the paint along an edge, so the outline of a part can be picked out without masking. Bear in mind that white covers worst of all shades and needs more than one pass.
Shake the marker thoroughly before the first use, as the pigment settles during storage. Then press the tip carefully several times against a scrap of plastic until the paint starts to come out evenly; only then start on the model. Apply it thinly and let each coat flash off, otherwise the paint piles up at the tip and the line widens. Wash and degrease the surface beforehand, as the line breaks up on greasy plastic. Handle thinning and cleaning according to the instructions stated by the manufacturer on the packaging and use a product intended for this range. The paint can be squeezed out of the tip onto a palette and picked up with a brush when you need a finer stroke.
The marker alone is supplied. The model, other paints and thinner are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
