Tamiya X-19 Smoke is an acrylic (water-thinnable) modeling paint from the manufacturer Tamiya, volume 23 ml. It belongs to the X range, so it is a transparent shade with a gloss finish. The smoke color lets light through and the coats applied darken the base gradually without covering it completely. The paint can be applied with a brush and with an airbrush and is thinned with the Tamiya X-20A acrylic thinner.

Use

• tinting and darkening transparent parts such as canopies, covers and windows
• imitating sooty and exhaust smoke streaks on vehicles
• deepening shadows and darkening areas with a translucent coat
• applied in thin coats, with the saturation built up gradually; for the airbrush it is thinned with X-20A
• shake it well before use; fresh paint can be washed off with water before it dries
