XF-18 Medium Blue 23ml

Tamiya XF-18 Medium Blue 23 ml

A matte modeling paint from the acrylic XF range from Tamiya in a bottle of 23 ml. It is a water-based acrylic paint that once dry forms a fine, well-covering matte surface. The Medium Blue shade is used above all on the lower and side surfaces of aircraft. The paint can be mixed with other shades of the same range and applied with an airbrush and with a brush.

Use

• Suitable for airbrush and for classic brush painting; for thinning and for the airbrush, Tamiya acrylic thinner (X-20A) is used.
• Apply in thin coats onto a cleaned surface (plastic, resin), ideally over a suitable base.
• Before it dries, fresh paint and tools can be rinsed with water; once dry the film is durable.
• A matte surface is a good base for decals (over a gloss varnish) and for subsequent weathering with washes and pigments.

Who it is for

For modelers building aircraft who work with acrylic paints and are looking for a matte medium blue for the lower and side surfaces of machines. Working with the paint is undemanding and suitable for less experienced modelers too.

A water-based acrylic paint. Use in a well-ventilated area, protect yourself against breathing in thinner fumes, keep out of reach of children.
