A model of the French light tank in 1:100 scale from Zebranomodel, specifically in the variant armed with the 25 mm gun. The main armament is named in the name of the item, so according to the name you can tell which version this is. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The AMC 35 was created as a combat vehicle for the French cavalry units, that is for reconnaissance and rapid movement rather than for infantry support. An interesting point of the design is the turret laid out for two men, which compared with the single-seat turrets of the day meant a far lighter load on the commander. In the French armament of the late 1930s the 25 mm gun was an antiarmor weapon with a high muzzle velocity and a flat trajectory, at the price of a weaker effect against unarmored targets than larger calibers had. The result is a vehicle with a different silhouette of turret and barrel, which can be told from the variant with the heavier gun even in a small scale.
In this scale the barrel is among the most delicate parts; separate it from the sprue carefully and straighten any bend before gluing. Clean up the rest of the parts and test them dry, and only then glue. Paint thinly so that the surface detail is not lost, and go for a lighter base with a darker wash, because in a small scale contrast helps the shape read. The soft transitions of French vehicle camouflage are easier to imitate with a brush in miniature; unify the result afterwards with a matte coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
