The Sd.Kfz. 251 was the most widespread German half-track carrier of the Second World War. The 251/1 version served to carry infantry (Panzergrenadiers) into battle and was notable for its open hull with sloped armor walls. The Ausf. D was the late, production-simplified variant with flatter rear plates.
Because of the small scale, expect fine parts and a smaller number of pieces; clean cleanup and careful gluing pay off. Apply a primer before painting, then the base shade (often dark yellow with camouflage patches). You create the weathering with a dark wash in the details and a light dry brush on the edges; pigments add dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
