A kit of the French light tracked vehicle Renault AMR 35 in the ZT4 variant, in 1:100 scale. Zebranomodel works the individual versions of the same chassis up separately, so a whole group of vehicles can be put together. The variants ZT1b, ZT2, ZT3 and a ZT4 version with an FT-type turret are among them. The small scale suits extensive collections and gaming with models alike.
The AMR 35 was a light French tracked vehicle of the second half of the 1930s, designed for reconnaissance and for escorting cavalry units. It staked everything on low weight and speed; the armor stayed thin and reckoned on small-arms rounds and splinters. The chassis turned out to be a suitable basis for several superstructures, which differed in the layout of the fighting compartment, in the turret and in the armament, so the individual versions are distinguished by the maker's letter and number code. Vehicles of this family were committed to action in 1940.
Assemble and paint the tracks and the running gear before you close the hull; in this scale they are otherwise hard to reach. Cut the small parts off leaving a margin and clean them up only once they are off the sprue. For injection-molded plastic use thin modeling cement; with resin parts wash them free of release agent and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Lay the base on thinly, thin the paint well and spray at low pressure. The French multicolor camouflage with its hard edges is best drawn in 1:100 scale with a fine brush. Keep the weathering restrained and emphasize mainly the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
