A plastic snap-fit kit of the Soviet 122 mm Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer in 1:100 scale from Zvezda. The model goes together without glue and is part of the Art of Tactic tabletop game system. The package holds an unassembled model of the vehicle and a game card with a unit flag. The small scale makes it easier to build up artillery elements for more extensive formations.
The Gvozdika is a Soviet 122 mm self-propelled howitzer on an amphibious tracked chassis, taken into service at the end of the 1960s. It serves to give fire support to infantry and can move even in difficult terrain. The system came to be widely distributed and committed in a number of postwar conflicts and remains in service with several armies to this day.
Separate the parts carefully and join them, strengthening them with cement for plastic if you wish. Lay the base on with an airbrush in green shades; the turret and the barrel of the howitzer will stand out after a wash into the recesses and dry-brushing on the edges. Dust pigments on the running gear will underline the cross-country character of the vehicle.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
