1:1000 N-S 90 Vodojem is a model of an object of the Czechoslovak fortifications in 1:1000 scale from ROP o.s. It is a kit of a small object to be assembled and painted.

The model captures one particular object of the Czechoslovak fortifications, listed under the designation N-S 90 and the code name Vodojem. The designation of an object is made up of the abbreviation of the construction sector, the sequential number of the object in that sector and the code name under which the object was recorded. The model is a kit and is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
In 1:1000 scale, one millimeter on the model corresponds to one meter on the real subject. The whole object therefore comes out at a few centimeters and the finished model fits in the palm of your hand. Everything essential for the build follows from that: the shapes are simplified into mass, the embrasures, the cupolas and the entrances are suggested, but small fittings, grilles or railings are not modeled in this scale. The advantage is that you can gradually put a whole row of objects of one sector side by side without needing a whole room for it.
First clean the parts and check whether any production residue has been left on them, and remove it with a fine file or with abrasive paper of a high grit. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts: liquid cement for plastic on plastic parts, cyanoacrylate glue on resin ones. Apply the paint in really thin coats, otherwise the suggested detail will be lost in the small scale. Concrete looks credible as a light gray base complemented with irregular patches of a somewhat darker and lighter shade; lighten the sharp edges slightly and darken the recesses with a thin wash. You can prepare the base and the terrain yourself from thin polystyrene and modeling grass, and in 1:1000 that goes quickly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
