The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R was a top sports motorcycle of the turn of the millennium, introduced at the end of the nineteen nineties as an answer to the fastest machines of the day. It was powered by a liquid-cooled inline four of about 1200 cc with a high output. Characteristic are the aluminum monocoque frame and the aerodynamic fairing. The ZX-12R was among the very best in the class of the fastest road motorcycles of its day.
The frame and the engine dominate the model, so paint them with an emphasis on metallic shades and blackening, and avoid sanding the chrome parts. Bring out the chain, the brake discs and the exhaust with metallic and dark shades, spray the fairing smoothly and polish it, and only then place the decals. Cables and hoses add to the realism. Leave the semi-transparent fairing parts open as you please, so that the engine and the frame stand out.
