The Eduard photo-etched set for the A-4F in 1:144 scale is an accessory to a plastic model that adds fine details unreachable with injected plastic. It is not an airplane kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched parts of thin metal sheet intended for improving a plastic model of the light carrier attack airplane A-4F in 1:144 scale. It is neither an airplane model nor a substitute for one, but an accessory that is installed on a model already under construction. The photo-etched parts have a thickness that injected plastic cannot come close to, so with them it is possible to replace features that in plastic are only suggested by relief.
In 1:144 scale the attention is concentrated above all on the cockpit and on small exterior details, where the difference between plastic and sheet metal tells most. The contents of the package are always printed on the card of the set together with the instructions, which show the position of the individual parts.
The A-4F was one of the later versions of the light Douglas Skyhawk carrier attack airplane. The identifying mark of the version is the dorsal hump with added avionics behind the cockpit. The Skyhawk made its name thanks to its small dimensions, simple maintenance and the ability to carry a load disproportionate for its size; with carrier aviation it served for many decades and in later years as a trainer and display machine as well.
This is a supplementary set, not a model in its own right. The plastic model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
