A set of replacement wheels for Antonov An-10 and An-12 models in 1:144 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The An-12 is a Soviet four-engine transport aircraft that came about as the military counterpart of the An-10 airliner and spread to dozens of countries. The code designation Cub, given in the name of the set, is the NATO code name for the An-12. Both types come from a common design, which is why the name keeps them together.
The set brings replacement wheels in 1:144 scale. In this scale a wheel is a small part, but one that matters a great deal: the model stands on it, and an inaccurate tire shape or a coarse tread shows from every angle. A replacement part usually brings a sharper drawing of the rim and a cleaner transition between the rim and the tire than a part split into two halves can manage.
Cut the surplus material and the traces of manufacture off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down, so that you do not touch the shape of the tire. Try the fit on the axle dry; the hole in the wheel usually has to be opened up very slightly. The parts are not polystyrene and cement for plastic has no effect on them, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Wash and degrease the wheels before painting. They are best painted separately, before they are set into the landing gear: the rim and the tire have different shades, and separately the boundary between them is far easier to manage than on a finished model.
The model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
