A detail set in photo-etched metal from Aber in 1:16 scale with the side fenders of the German Tiger I, Ausf.E heavy tank. It is not a tank model but a metal accessory replacing the coarser plastic fenders over the tracks from a base kit.
The side fenders over the running gear were thin sheet metal in reality and in the field they were often bent or missing. Thin photo-etched metal catches their true thickness and allows realistic damage or leaving some of the parts off.
Separate the parts with a blade, tap and bend them gently if you like for a worn look, and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Once the primer is on, the edges will stand out under dry-brushing and mud effects.
This is a photo-etched detail set, not a tank model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
