A plastic kit of the Viking Oseberg ship in 1:180 scale from the manufacturer Mistercraft. It is an undemanding set with a small number of parts, suitable for a quick build and for younger modelers. The package contains decals and a color guide.
The Oseberg ship is one of the best preserved surviving Viking vessels. It was discovered in Norway in 1903 and built in the second half of the 9th century. Its elegant slender hull with a richly carved prow and sternpost is among the iconic images of early medieval Norse shipbuilding.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. The wooden structure of the hull and the deck is brought out with a primer, paint and a light wash into the recesses. The characteristic sail and the carved details of the prow can be finished nicely with a hand brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
