DEF Model - the cats Dodo and Nana in 1:20 scale are a pair of resin cat figures that will give a vignette or a diorama with larger figures an unexpectedly charming storytelling detail.
Responsibility details are not available.
This pair of resin cats from the Korean maker DEF Model carries the names Dodo and Nana and is cast in 1:20 scale. It is a small but immensely rewarding accessory: an animal in a scene draws the viewer's attention at once and gives the scene an emotion that vehicles and figures alone do not evoke.
The cats match larger 1:20 figures in scale - you can sit them at the feet of a standing figure, on the hood of a car, a low wall or the steps of a workshop. They work in civilian subjects and as a lightening of a military scene, where animals have always accompanied crews. A pair also makes it possible to play out a small interaction between the animals.
Wash the castings to remove the mold release agent and apply primer. Paint the fur with acrylic paints in thin coats: the base tone, a darker glaze in the hollows and a light dry brush along the fur. The markings of a tabby or a patched cat can be managed with a thin brush, and at the end a drop of gloss varnish will bring the eyes to life.
The figures are supplied unpainted; a base and other scene equipment are not included in the package.
