This is an item from the Object Series range with the sequence number 2, in 1:20 scale. The designation is a series one; the number in it tells the individual pieces within the range apart and says nothing in itself about what the subject represents. What the subject represents is given on the packaging and in the manufacturer's catalog.
In 1:20 scale the real dimensions are reduced twenty times: one meter of the subject matches five centimeters on the model. For goods of this kind that is among the larger scales, so on the finished work the texture of the material and every stroke of the brush are visible. That is exactly why large scales are chosen where the result is meant to be an exhibit in its own right rather than a small accessory in a scene.
The extent of the parts and the assembly procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with the package. Cut surplus material and traces of manufacture away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder back carefully, so that the surface detail is not rubbed off. Wash and degrease the whole before painting, or the paint will not hold. It works well to lay down an undercoat and then to thin the paint and build it up a little at a time, because one heavy coat fills the fine detail and cannot be taken back.
