An injection-molded plastic kit of a wide-body airliner in 1:200 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa. The package is tied to the livery of the Japanese airline ANA, so the main added value is the decal sheet with those markings. The 1:200 scale is common with airliners, because even a machine this large stays a reasonable size for a display case in it.
The Boeing 777 is a twin-engine wide-body airliner with large-diameter engines and six-wheel main landing gear bogies, which are its most conspicuous recognition features. The 200 version is the basic form of the family with a shorter fuselage than the later stretched variants. The type is used on medium and long routes, and in Japan it is among the backbone machines on densely used domestic services.
With airliners a smooth surface and clean paintwork decide. Fill and sand the fuselage seams carefully, as on a uniform light surface every unevenness shows. Spray a primer and only then the base color, ideally with an airbrush in thin layers. Gloss varnish is necessary before the decals, so that the carrier film does not silver around the markings. Apply the long stripes and lettering on the fuselage with plenty of water so that they can be adjusted, and press the bubbles out from the center. Windows and cockpit glazing in this scale are often handled with a decal, so it pays to apply them at the very end. Leave the landing gear and the engine nacelles for last.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
